Man commits suicide at Ashaiman Jericho


A man has committed suicide at Ashaiman Jericho  in Accra.The deceased, believed to be in his 30s, was found hanging on a tree near the MTN park in the area Monday morning.

An eyewitness Apostle Christopher Hood who narrated the incident to said the deceased is not known by residents of the area.

The incident brings to six the number of people who have committed suicide over the last two weeks. Last week, two young ladies took  their lives in the Eastern and Greater Accra regions. A man, also in his 30s, committed suicide at Achimota in Accra.

A 16-year-old Junior High School Student of Child of Hope Preparatory School at Akyem Osiem – Barbara Asante – was also found hanging in the kitchen of her parents’ house at Akyem Tafo last Tuesday. The cause of death is, however, unknown.

Last Wednesday, a level 400 student of the University of Ghana jumped from the balcony of the Akuafo Hall annex A room 407 after staying away from lectures several days.

Officials have served notice a suicide helpline will be instituted to help potential victims.What is really happening to nation Ghana,let pray to remove this tragidic headlines from our country.
